I used this image to show isolation because of where its placed, it isn't near any other building and makes it seem alone which is perfect for isolation. To make the image give more of an impact I decided to edit/cut out the people by using the fill tool in Photoshop and by copying bits of the image replacing it over the people, and then blending the new part in with the rest of the image, and by using a bunch of other techniques. I next wanted to make the atmosphere of the photo more connected to isolation, I did this by making the image black and white which gives it more of a depressing feel which is most of the time related to isolation.

For this next image I wanted to show isolation in a different nature then others would use. I used the bars and the locked off door and window to show imprisonment, how they're locked away from society and on their own showing how they're deserted and alone. This can relate to isolation and I enhanced this feeling by making the image black and white in Photoshop. I also made the green in the image more dark which made it more gloomy and obscure.
The next image was heavily influenced by one of the photographers which I researched. The photographer is Emma Amsden and she focused mostly on lone trees around the country-side for her isolation photographs. This is great for isolation as it shows how secluded the trees are which can then connect to isolation. I did this for my photograph and as she mostly does to her photographs it was also finished in black and white.
When editing the photograph I wanted it to look more lonesome and to do this I would have to remove the people out of the photograph. I then did this in Photoshop by using the fill tool and replacing it with what the background would look like without the person in the way. This worked effectively as its hard to tell that its been edited. After that I was still not satisfied with the photograph because of the castle in the background. I ended up removing that too the same way I did with the people in the way. I then changed the colour to black and white which from my research Emma Amsden does a lot and because it then makes you focus more on the tree the important part of the photograph.

The next image was inspired a lot by Pavel Tereshkovets who uses people to show isolation, I attempted to do the same by showing someone alone without anyone near just walking on their own which can show loneliness.
When editing this photograph I wanted to try new effects to see if I can create a more gloomy atmosphere. I tried this by using Photoshop and using the black and white tool to change the colours of the image. I then wanted a second effect on the image to make it seem even more bleak and broken. I then tested this idea but I was still very happy with how the image was at this point.

I tested this by using a filter, putting it on a different layer and then changing the opacity to what would work best for the image. If the opacity was too strong it would make the image hard to see and the filter would be very noticeable, But too weak and the image wont look changed, so I've gone in the middle. From further inspection I then decided that the image looks better without the filter, this could be because the filter makes the image too fussy and so next time i might try different filters to try but for now I'm happy with the original image.
